Saturn offering a deal

Saturn: Deal or No Deal

Ahhh the sphere of Saturn, one part deal or no deal, one part dread, one part karmic overload and one part power.

No one visits the Saturn sphere lightly. It is not what you would call the good time place. But it is not something to be missed past a certain point in a practitioner’s development.

Loosely speaking the progression of working with the planets is organized this way.

  1. Earth – works with a practitioner’s etheric/vital force, contains the most accessible schools otherwise known as the Head’s of the Earth Zone, these are the disincarnate White Masters, Brotherhood’s, etc of most of the 18-19th century esoteric organizations. It primes a practitioner to work with the other planets and is the one not needing counterbalancing as it is the primary energy we all live in as physically incarnated human beings.
  2. Luna (I.e. the Moon) – works with the practitioner’s astral body and is most commonly used to ground out the power of the other planets after working with them (I.e. counterbalancing), it is water like, and very magnetic. One of three magnetic planets (Luna, Venus and Neptune). Directly related to the Dream Gate in meditation as well. Like all magnetic/water planets it heavily impacts emotional energy and can be a powerful source of astral energy. Unlike the other planets, its power is cyclic depending upon the phase it is in. Crucial to the understanding of certain forms of ritual magic.
  3. Mercury – works with the practitioner‘s mental body. A potent source of mental energy and it is the home of academic forms of information. Many practitioners mention projecting into a grand library when coming here the first time. Directly related to Uranus as well. Air element in derivation and highly associated with communication, learning and magic. A default for powering talismans as well. Also, like Luna it is unstable. As the air element nature of the planets is not constant as a midway point between Fire and Water. Fairly easy to work with as it, like the Earth and Luna, works with the bodies of a practitioner directly and represents a state of being that people cycle through multiple times per day.
  4. Venus – works with a practitioner’s astral body in a way distinct from Luna. It squeezes the astral body to bring all of the sticky parts (I.e. desires, hidden wishes) to the surface much like squeezing a sponge brings water to the surface. Related to water element and magnetic as well. The first point where magicians routinely get derailed, and trapped, in their development. Deals with desire, passing, and addiction on the negative end. Deals with love, and wealth, on the positive end. Makes a practitioner aware of their less positive traits.
  5. Sol (I.e. the Sun) – Burns away the dirt brought to the surface by Venus and purifies. Ultimately consuming. Generally reinforces health by removing obstruction. Used to counterbalance the Akashic planets, Saturn evocation/invocation, must be followed by this to remove any remaining Saturninan influences. Positive traits include free will, independence and purification. Negative traits include believing the world is corrupted/an apocalypse is coming/Book of Revelations type material, the sin of excessive pride, megalomania, and the belief that nothing else exists to learn as a practitioner already knows everything. The first planet that takes significant time to adjust to.
  6. Mars – reinforces sexual energy and will. Particularly the etheric body. Literally the energy of getting things done. A common traditional vision is that of a prince riding to war on his chariot to secure his kingdom. Negative traits are well known…violence, psychopathy, and pointless aggression/destruction. Positive traits involve athletics, achievement in general, physical fitness, martial brotherhood and developing the will to succeed in life. Represents the harnessing of the animal within man to a higher purpose. Warm and dry, but not fiery.
  7. Jupiter – deals with rulership of a practitioner’s kingdom after winning it in Mars. Corresponds to health and wealth. Air element in nature, but expansive as well. In a modern era it deals with finance. Generally a happy place.
  8. Saturn – the first Akashic planet. Deals with administration, karma, law, punishment/rehabilitation, restriction and old age…and a whole bunch of things we will get to now….

The first thing about Saturn is that it is very Akashic in nature, penetrating, dry, and heavy. So, unlike pure Akasha, it has a certain difference in terms of sensory experience. And this is true of all the planets. The Sun is very fiery, but not fire. Luna has something akin to water, but is not water element in and of itself.

Are the planets the source of the elements or are they variations of the elements? No one really knows. What is known is that every planet has its own form of letter magic. And the letters derived via Saturn are all very Akashic in nature. Additionally, all of the outer planets, with Pluto being the strongest in this regard, have this Akashic nature. Is this due to their ultimately being derived of Akasha or is it because they are so far removed from the Sun as to lack protection from the extra-solar realm of pure Akashic forces? Again no one knows.

Here is a start to the descriptions for of the outer planets with Uranus for those interested: https://sixtyskills.com/the-trouble-with-uranus/

Note this is the first of a four part series on Uranus…getting back to Saturn though…

As I’ve mentioned in other sources, one of Saturn’s functions is to rehabilitate corrupt magicians. Watching this unfold is not the most fun thing in the world. I would hope this is one of the lesser leverage aspects of the planet, but as a timeless place, it is hard to tell.

And this leads to the deal, or no, deal aspect of Saturn.

As Saturn is able to change the limitations placed upon your kingdom as ruled by Jupiter, it is a place of unique temptation. Every student I’ve had successfully work through this planet had the same thing happen.

They all got offered a deal. Access to the universal credit card so to speak. Anything you want. But the unspoken part is that everyone has a limited line of credit, and that this ultimately has to paid for.

Saturn governs limitation. Run amok this leads to cancer or unlimited proliferation of things that can no longer be supported. Too much restriction, and you get the modern age of crashing demographics, because people fail to reproduce. It is a bit of a balancing act.

Either way, hard limits are a part of this. Man is born and, so, must die. But Saturn can move the goalposts on this quite a bit, if you are willing to pay the requisite price.

Saving your child from stage 4 pancreatic cancer might be worth it…but a new Ford truck…probably not.

And of course you need to pay back what you just borrowed against. Most of often this can come as a short term loan..you just inherited the cancer you took from your child…or a pledge of servitude on Saturn. After all…every good jail needs guards. Or corrections officers for the butt hurt. Either way, all debts get paid, even if you change the terms of the contract by shifting the payback period.

Saturn also is not so much a home, as an access point, to the Akashic records. Not that anyone I’ve met who ever had a clear vision of their own record came away happier for it. Know the future is in many ways depressing. It robs you of your joy of discovery.

Now the outer planets are a whole other bag of interesting, but I’ve written more than a few posts on this.

Likewise, I have extensive coursework on the planets via the Planetary Kabbalah course where all of this gets hashed out in exquisite detail.

Until next time…train hard and be well.
